Version 2.5 of the DDI Codebook approved (21 November 2011)

The DDI alliance (www.ddialliance.org) has launched the latest version of the Codebook: version 2.5. The IHSN was instrumental in this upgrade and the relevant IHSN tools will take full benefit of this version.

Dissemination of Microdata Files: Principles, Procedures and Practices

In all countries, data producers are faced by expanding demand for microdata. Determining the best way to disseminate these data is a challenge. The challenge is technical, as data producers have to implement procedures for the documentation, cataloguing and dissemination of the data. The challenge is also legal and ethical.

Marrakech Action Plan for Statistics The IHSN is a partnership of international organizations seeking to improve the availability, quality and use of survey data in developing countries. This informal network was established as a recommendation of the Marrakech Action Plan for Statistics.

The IHSN is served by a light Secretariat managed by the World Bank Development Data Group and the Paris21 Secretariat at OECD.
